As kindergarten students playfully create stories and paintings with one another, they make friends and learn to share. They develop and refine their abilities to think creatively and work collaboratively, precisely the abilities most needed to achieve success and satisfaction in the 21st century.
We combine the learning engagement with modern technology as a spiraling learning process in which children imagine what they want to do, create a project based on their ideas (using blocks, finger paint, or other materials), share their ideas and creations with one another and reflect on their experiences throughout -- all of which leads them to imagine new ideas and reach their learning outcomes.
We intend our kinders to be global learners through this iterative learning process as it is ideal preparation for today's fast-changing society, in which people must continually come up with innovative solutions to unexpected situations in their lives.

Meet the Kindergarten Team
Welcome to a new school year at Lancers International School. My name is Ms. Preeti Kulkarni and I will be your Kindergarten B Homeroom Teacher. I have been with Lancers International since 2012. Prior to this I worked in the corporate world in the Banking and Insurance industry in both India and the United Kingdom.
I lived in the UK for over 11 years and on moving back to India in 2010, I decided to start volunteering at IB schools in Gurgaon and in rural schools in nearby villages. I enjoyed the fulfilment of being around children and sharing with them my love for learning. This experience motivated me to pursue a course in Early Years education. I have completed my Bachelors of Education degree from MDU. I am an enthusiastic educator with passion for teaching. My goal is to create a positive environment in the Primary Years Programme and to share knowledge with eager young learners in my class. Through my communication skills, I can inspire and motivate children. By applying different teaching methodologies, I can help children enhance their cognitive skills, maintaining interest and enriching their learning experience. Having interacted with the terrific children of Kindergarten, I am impressed with their enthusiasm and I surely look forward to a wonderful journey of learning together with the new class of Kinders. If you would like to contact me, please do so by phone in the school office, through email or by writing a note in your child’s almanac. We will surely have a wonderful year together! I look forward to meeting you and learning with you. Sincere yours, Preeti Kulkarni [email protected] I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your child in Kindergarten C.
My name is Ms Sumedha Nagpal and I will be your homeroom teacher for Kindergarten this year. This is my first year at Lancers International School but I have experience of almost 3 years as a Kindergarten teacher. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Maharishi Dayanand University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education from Delhi University. I believe in respecting every child. Every child should be treated with love and care. I feel that learning has to be meaningful and interesting for the students in order for them to do their best. I feel that each child needs to feel good about themselves and the accomplishments that they have made. As I am new to the IB, I will try my best in understanding this framework and will actively apply everything I can within my classroom. I welcome your idea, concern and questions throughout the year. I look forward to working with your child and interacting with you. Thank you. Best, Sumedha Nagpal [email protected] |
